Safeguarding Commitment Statement
The Legacy Foundation Global is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Our practice is underpinned by the statutory guidance set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023 and is delivered in line with the principles and expectations of the Ofsted Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
Our Safeguarding Principles
We recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We work in partnership with children, families, local authorities, and multi agency safeguarding partners to ensure that children are protected from harm and that their welfare is promoted at all times.
Our services are child centred. We ensure that the voice, wishes, and lived experience of the child are central to assessment, planning, and review processes. Children and young people are supported to understand their rights, express their views, and participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives.
Partnership and Accountability
We operate within established safeguarding arrangements and cooperate fully with local safeguarding partnerships, statutory agencies, and relevant professionals. Referrals, information sharing, and decision making are undertaken in accordance with statutory thresholds, local protocols, and data protection legislation.
Where children are subject to Child in Need plans, Child Protection plans, or are looked after by the local authority, we actively contribute to care planning, risk management, and review processes to ensure coordinated and effective support.
Safer Practice and Workforce Standards
We maintain safer recruitment procedures, ongoing safeguarding training, and robust supervision arrangements to ensure our workforce is competent, vigilant, and professionally accountable. Staff are trained to recognise indicators of abuse, neglect, exploitation, contextual safeguarding risks, and emerging vulnerabilities.
All safeguarding concerns are recorded promptly, responded to proportionately, and escalated appropriately in line with statutory guidance and organisational policy.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continuous improvement through reflective practice, audit, supervision, and external scrutiny. Our safeguarding systems are regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with statutory guidance, inspection frameworks, and best practice standards.
Our overarching aim is to provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments in which children and young people can achieve positive outcomes, develop resilience, and move forward with confidence.
This commitment applies to all services delivered by The Legacy Foundation Global and is reviewed annually or in response to changes in statutory guidance.
